Dear French language teachers and TLs,
The Indigenous Education Department and the Modern Languages Department have been working together to explore how to weave in Indigenous Education in our French Immersion and Core French programs. We are very excited to share with you a learning opportunity to collaboratively explore Indigenous Pedagogy in the French language classroom.
This learning series will include a few interactive workshops with Shelly Niemi and Madeleine Challies, along with an opportunity for teacher teams to choose an area of inquiry to further explore Indigenous Pedagogy in the French language classroom. We encourage teachers to sign up with school colleagues if possible. We can also help connect individual teachers who are looking for a group with whom to collaborate.
Time will be given during our second workshop to develop inquiry questions and plan projects. See below for dates and details.
