Summer French language learning opportunities for teachers
Are you a Core French or French Immersion teacher interested in continuing to develop your French language skills? Are you interested in teaching Core French in the future?
The Greater Victoria School District’s French language department is very excited to promote and support three summer French language programs for teachers offered at our local universities. Please see below for an overview of each offering and for specific registration information for each opportunity. Please note the registration closing dates for each program.
SFU’s BOOTCAMP FRANCOFUN!
These one-week in person French language courses are designed for Core and Immersion teachers. The goal of the program is to provide both a chance to develop French language skills as well as skills related to teaching French in an additional language setting. These are fun, experiential hands-on weeks of learning on SFU’s campus. A full description of the programs and dates can be found HERE.
The registration for this event is 200$ and will be covered by SD61 for French language teachers. You will be required to cover all expenses related to travel and accommodation in Vancouver. For more information and to register, please contact Madeleine Challies at mchallies@sd61.bc.ca for a free registration code by June 1st.
UVic CONTINUING STUDIES: La Maison Française
